A WREXHAM community is set to get its first convenience store for 15 years.
Ponciau Stores is opening its doors on August 1 and the area's county councillor, Paul Pemberton, has welcomed it with open arms.
"It's great for Ponciau," he said. "We haven't had a convenience store in the village for the last 15 years since the post office shut down.
"People are really pleased to see the village being served by a new store, so as local councillor I'm delighted.
"I'm hoping it will be very well supported by members of the community."
