OVER £5,500 was raised in aid of Nightingale House following a summer ball in Flintshire.
Hawarden Community Events together the with Holiday Inn A55 Chester West, held a Summer Ball in aid of Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.
The ball, which took place in June, was held for the second year running and this year was sponsored by Henry R. Davis & Co, Chartered Accountants from Deeside.
Organisers Helen Rees and Darren Sterry arranged for the ball to take place on the 50th birthday of their dear friend Wendy Beadles, who had been cared for at the Hospice during the last three months of her life.

"Dancing into the early hours provided by DJ Andy. Lots of fun was had for a brilliant and worthwhile cause."
