A Deeside housebuilder has donated food vouchers to a Flintshire scheme that helps vulnerable families.

The homebuilder, Anwyl Homes, has set up a fund known as 'Love from Anwyl' to help the community surrounding its Summers Bridge development in Deeside.

Groundwork North Wales have used the £525 donation to secure food vouchers for struggling families.

"The funds from Anwyl have enabled us to support single parent families in Deeside who are living in hardship, by providing them with food vouchers to support their wellbeing," said Lorna Crawshaw, head of community programmes & partnerships at Groundwork North Wales.

Groundwork North Wales used Anwyl's donation to offer £35 worth of supermarket vouchers to 15 families in need.

The charity also helped those families with issues within their homes by sharing energy-saving ways to reduce their bills.
