Hawarden High School recently hosted their second annual Pride month celebration with around 250 people in attendance.
The school, staff, Council’s Healthy Schools team and Youth Service organised the event advocating for LGBTQ+ equality and consciousness.
The event was full of vibrant decorations including rainbow flags and bunting that set the mood for the day's festivities.
Approximately 30 LGBTQ+ charities and organisations were represented at the event, and attendees included learners from secondary schools across the county.
LGBTQ+ ambassadors from Hawarden High School were on hand to welcome the attendees.
A speech was delivered by Leaola Roberts-Biggs from the Youth Parliament and Hannah Blythyn, MS for Delyn.
Following this, the guests were divided into mixed groups for themed workshops run by various providers.
The afternoon was packed with entertainment, including a school production from Flint High and performances from the Hawarden High School choir.
