POLICE were called out after a pair of vehicles broke down on the A55 in Flintshire.

Traffic Wales issued a warning to motorists about the situation just before 10.30am on Saturday.

A spokesman explained: "Broken down vehicle [on the] A55 Eastbound [between] J34 Ewloe and J35 Dobshill.

"Police en-route."

Traffic Wales confirmed that vehicle had been safely removed from the network just before 11am. 

Just after 10.50am, the organisation confirmed police had been alerted to a further breakdown on the A55 Westbound between J33B Mold (A494) and J33A Northop Hall.

A statement issued by Traffic Wales at 11.55am confirmed the second vehicle had also been safely removed from the network.
