They used their school grounds as a starting point, as they are lucky enough to have a huge outdoor area with a forest school, orchard, Eco Classroom, vegetable garden, pond and more.

Together they thought about what else they needed to include, incorporating a trip to the beach, local woodlands and even farm land to record their video.

They are now looking forward to working with the Flintshire Biodiversity team, as their prize is even further outdoor enhancements for the school.

Cymraeg Campus Gwobr Aur win for Ysgol Ty Ffynnon.

The school was externally verified by the Athrawon Bro for their Cymraeg Campus Gwobr Aur/Gold Award. Ysgol Tŷ Ffynnon is one of only four schools in Flintshire to have achieved this award.

Cymraeg Campus is a Language Charter which aims to inspire children and young people to use Welsh language in all aspects of their lives.

The Siarter Iaith is for everyone; all members of the school community have a part to play, the school council, learners, workforce, parents, carers, governors and the wider community. This will ensure every school has full ownership of their Siarter Iaith.

Together the school will increase the social use of Welsh by children and young people.

There are three awards to work for, the Bronze, Silver and Gold, and Ysgol Ty Ffynnon has awarded the highest possible award of Gwobr Aur. Ardderchog pawb!
