The four Theatretrain Schools from Chester, Mold, and Wrexham recently staged performances of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Youth Edition).'

The productions took place at The William Aston Hall in Wrexham, with every Theatretrain pupil given the chance to perform twice, in dual roles.

They thrilled audiences by adopting lead characters such as Joseph, his brothers, and the narrators in one performance and then showing their skillset by becoming part of the choir in the next performance.

One appreciative parent praised the entire team on social media, saying: "Thank you to the team for another amazing end of term performance, the kids were amazing and I am very proud.

"Your hard work and commitment is outstanding and my two children love coming to classes every week.

"It has helped build their confidence so much."

The structure of the plays made sure that all young performers had the chance to immerse themselves fully in the musical.

This structure not only offered them a complete understanding of the production but also enhanced their skills in both acting and choral singing.

The spectators were treated to vibrant costumes and dynamic staging that brought the well-loved story of Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat to life.

The children from the Minis class were also involved.

These younger performers — aged between three and five— led a poignant rendition of 'Close Every Door' as well as joining the main cast for two additional musical numbers.

Moving forward, Theatretrain teachers are currently preparing for their Musical Theatre Summer Workshops, set to take place in Mold and Chester.

Come next year, the Wrexham and Mold students will have the opportunity to step further into the limelight.

They will travel to London to perform at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, repeating the enjoyable experience which the Chester students had in 2023.
