Police have revealed why a section of the A55 in Flintshire was closed for almost 11 hours yesterday (July 17).
North Wales Police were called shortly before 12pm on Wednesday afternoon to a road traffic collision on the A55 near Northop.
It was a single vehicle collision with an electricity pole on the J33A slip road.
As a result the slip road was closed while emergency services attended.
The road was reopened shortly before 11pm.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 12pm on Wednesday, July 17th, we received a report of a single vehicle RTC, involving a large electricity pole on a slip road coming onto the A55 in Northop.

"Officers attended to assist with a road closure whilst the electricity pole was made safe."
A Traffic Wales spokesperson added: "There was Road Traffic Collision on the adjacent Flintshire county network – a vehicle struck a electricity supply pole.
"The police requested a closure of J33a Brookside offslip whilst the vehicle was recovered and Scottish Power replaced the pole. The slip road was re-opened at 22:53hrs."
