A SERIES of fun and free events are to take place across the region this summer.
Courtesy of Groundwork North Wales and Wild Ground, these outdoor events are suitable for the whole family, focusing on sharing natural craft skills, learning about wildlife, and the importance of conservation and biodiversity.
The events are taking place at a variety of different locations across Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire, including locations such as Minera Lead Mines, Kings Mill, Alyn Waters Country Park, and Wild Ground nature reserves across North East Wales.
New for 2024 are events from the Groundwork Training Team and their partnership with North East Wales Adult Community Learning. These events are based around a family's wellbeing and numeracy skills, making the most of the natural environment and making numbers fun.
There are several events that are part of the Clywedog Valley Partnership project, such as the family open days at Minera Lead Mines and the family guided walk, den building and natural craft at Nant Mill. These events are an opportunity for people to share feedback and ideas on how the Clywedog Valley Partnership project can be shaped, assisting in the vision to transform the Clywedog Valley into a thriving, resilient, vibrant and inclusive cultural attraction and community resource.
