WREXHAM AFC visited Hanley Town to begin their 2024/25 pre-season friendlies, claiming a convincing win in changeable conditions.
A well-balanced home-side kept the Red Dragons level on Saturday, July 13 until the 41st minute when James McClean opened the scoring for the summer.
The second-half started at pace with Jordan Davies scoring in the 49th minute, quickly followed up by Sam Dalby just four minutes later.
Wrexham didn’t have it all their own way however – Kyle Blake finding the back of the Reds' net.

Unphased, Davies attacked again and got his second of the match. Rounding off Wrexham’s scoring was a long-ranged shot from Jake Bickerstaff – firing in the pick of the second-half goals. It was a fantastic 5-1 win for Wrexham.
The Reds now look ahead to the upcoming Wrex Coast Tour where they face AFC Bournemouth, Chelsea and the Vancouver Whitecaps as they continue their preparations for the 2024/25 Sky Bet EFL League One season.
