A NEW summer carnival event at Bellevue Park in Wrexham proved a rip-roaring success.
Thousands of people attended the event on Saturday - which included a traditional fairground, followed by Wrexham's first ever Proms in the Park event.
The fun-filled weekend began on Friday night - with event organiser Fair Event Management putting on Swing in the Park. There was performances from Chester Big Band, as well as Britain's Got Talent stars, The D-Day Darlings.
On Saturday morning until the late afternoon was the Wrexham City Carnival - which saw an array of fairground rides and stalls, as well as live music, wrestling and a BMX stunt show.
After the carnival finished, there was the city's first ever Proms in the Park event. A mystery donor covered the cost of every ticket for the event - with over 2,500 people attending free-of-charge.
The event was co-organised by Fair Event Management and Offa Community Council - and supported by Uk Shared Prosperity Fund, Wrexham Council and City of Culture.
