A VEHICLE fire has sparked long delays on the M56 near Chester this afternoon (Sunday, July 14).
Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports that one lane is closed eastbound from J14 5117 (Chester Services / Helsby) to J12 A557 (Runcorn).
The incident has sparked several miles of congestion and motorists are warned to expect lengthy delays in the area.
