HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a fun-filled day at a village's summer carnival.
The Hawarden Carnival took place on Saturday and proved to be as popular an event as ever.
The annual event took place on Gladstone playing fields - and included an array of entertainment and activities for people to enjoy.
There was live music throughout the day, Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, a fire engine for kids to explore, an array of stalls - as well as the traditional fair ground rides and activities.
There was also the traditional junior football tournament - with Hawarden Rangers winning four of the 10 tournaments on home soil.
Hawarden councillor and one of the event organisers, Ant Turton, said: "A fantastic day up at the Gladstone Fields for the Hawarden Carnival, it's always a busy and fun-filled event with today again no exception.
"We can't thank the team of volunteers enough who worked so hard both today and in the planning of the event over the last year and a huge shout out to all the stall holders and local businesses who supported the event today."
