A MAIN street in Wrexham city centre is closing to vehicles at all times as work on the General Market building takes place.

Henblas Street, which is open to vehicles at certain times of the day, will be closed from July 22 for four weeks.

The closure is to allow construction work to take place at the General Market building as part of the major redevelopment of the site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

Henblas Street is usually open to all vehicles between 11.30am and 5.30pm, Monday-Friday, 9.30am-5pm on Saturdays and 1pm until 5pm on Sundays.

Outside these hours it's only open to buses/disabled blue badge holders/loading and unloading.
