FLINTSHIRE'S past is in the spotlight with the release of a new book.
The 100-page publication, Mold: Village Vistas, features a collection of images from across the ages, showing important moments in the life of the villages around the town from the 1890s to the 1990s.
Author George Tattum, a former chief multi-media journalist with the Flintshire Chronicle, who lives just outside Mold, said: "I hope the new book will bring back memories of the villages as they used to be in bygone days, and readers will enjoy our celebration of these rural communities across the years.
"It has been made possible thanks to the efforts of many people who have supported the project."

Mold: Village Vistas is a companion publication to Mold: The Passing of Time, published last year. Both titles are priced at £9.99 and are available from local bookstores, newsagents and retail outlets.
