A WREXHAM pupil made a "stunning" journey to the leavers prom on horseback.
Aaliyah Miller, from Pentre Broughton, rode her horse, Woody, to Darland High School's prom recently.
The 16-year-old, who is now going on to study A Levels at the Maelor School, Penley, has been horseriding since the age of five years old - and it was her dream to ride in her dress to prom.
Aaliyah, and her mum, Jenny, both praised the motorists she encountered on her journey.
Aaliyah said: "The drivers of cars on the road we came across were all great, and all the teachers were so supportive. It was a great start to a great night."

Jenny, added: "Aaliyah had a wonderful night, enhanced by the way the motorists passed Woody as he accompanied her to prom.
"They gave her the suggested two-metre space and definitely didn't exceed the 10mph limit for passing horses."
After Jenny posted a photo of Aaliyah on social media thanking motorists for their behaviour - dozens of people commented on how "beautiful" she looked.
One person said: "16 year old me is crying for joy for her! She looks absolutely stunning."
Another added: "She looks beautiful. Woody is gorgeous, too."
