A TRAVELLER encampment has been set up near a Flintshire primary school.
Several caravans have pitched up at the King George Street play area in Shotton in recent days.
The park is located next to Ysgol Ty Ffynnon.
Flintshire County Council has said it is "aware" of the encampment and will be making an application for an eviction notice to be served.
A spokesperson for the authority said: "Flintshire Council is aware of the encampment near Ty Ffynnon School and has visited the location to complete a welfare assessment as mandated by Welsh Government.
"Going forward we will be making an application for an eviction under s77 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998."
