POLICE have asked residents to avoid an area in Chirk while they deal with an "incident".
North Wales Police say that emergency services are currently dealing with an incident near Station Avenue in Chirk.
Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area whilst the incident is ongoing, with motorists asked to consider alternative routes.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Can we advise members of the public to avoid Station Avenue in Chirk as Emergency Services are currently dealing with an incident.
"Please consider alternative routes on your travels."
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue service confirmed that they sent three appliances to the incident on Station Avenue this afternoon.
Crews from Chirk, Llangollen and Mold were all in attendance assisting police, but they have since left the scene.
