In the winning speech, Becky said: "Thank you to my fantastic campaign team and all the amazing volunteers who have given their time to bring about this historic victory. Thank you to my agent, Paul, my husband and my family for their support.
"A final thank you must go to the people of Clwyd East. Thank you for being so open and keen to discuss your fears and hopes for the future. For believing that change was worth fighting for, and for going out there and making it happen.
"Throughout this campaign, Labour has been honest with the public about the scale of the challenges we face ahead, and the measured approach we will take to fix them.
"Though there is no magic wand, today marks the beginning of a path to get Britain's future back.
"Thank you for placing your trust in me and the Labour party."
