LABOUR hold Alyn and Deeside in Flintshire as MP Mark Tami has been re-elected in the 2024 General Election.
He received 18,395 of the votes, compared to 18,271 (42.5%) in the 2019 election.

The overall turnout for Alyn and Deeside was 57.43% - 11% lower than in the 2019 general election which saw a total of 68.5%.
Out of the 75,785 who were eligible to vote, only 43,585 cast a ballot in this year's election.

In his winning speech, MP Mark Tami said: "I would like to thank everyone who has counted here tonight for both counts. I'd like to thank the other candidates and wish them well in the future.
"I'd like to thank Dave my agent and everybody else who has been part of a great campaign. And above all I'd like to thank the people of Deeside for again giving me the privilege to represent them. I thank them, for that.
"We face a massive challenge after 14-years of the Tory decline, and we have to turn that around. It is a big challenge but a challenge we are up for. And I thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to play my part in that."
The final results are:
Jeremy Kent - Conservative: 7,892
Edwin Duggan - Independent: 1,575
Richard Marbrow - Liberal Democrat: 2,065
Karl Macnaughton - Green Party: 1,926
Plaid Cymru - Jack Morris: 1,938
Reform UK - Vicki Roskams: 9,601
The Alyn and Deeside seat has grown in size since the last general election, expanding towards Flint following the removal of the old Delyn constituency.
Places covered include Aston, Broughton, Buckley, Caergwrle, Connah’s Quay, Hawarden, Higher Kinnerton, Hope, Llanfynydd, Mancot and Penyffordd.
The seat also includes Queensferry, Saltney, Sealand, Shotton, Treuddyn, Bagillt and Flint.
