READERS have had their say on driving behaviour resulting from 20mph speed limits.
The Leader reported earlier this week on a warning from Buckley Councillor Arnold Woolley, who leads the town's Community Speedwatch team.
He shared details of behaviour he'd seen from the roadside, including "bullying" by impatient drivers in the 20mph areas, use of phones behind the wheels and a lack of seatbelts.
Readers took to the Leader's Facebook page to share their views on the situation.
Moira Owen said: "We have resorted to dash cam and rear camera in the car.
"Absolutely sick of the road rage and speeding."
Suze Green said: "I find it worrying that I spend more time watching the speed dial than the road!"
Martyn Coldray said: "Saw a Range Rover overtaking a learner driver on Mold Road the other day, all because he couldn't be a***d.
"No one wants 20mph."
Stuart Perry said: "Sometimes cars are not built for 20."
On the various other hazards facing motorists, he added: "You're dodging pot holes and avoiding people walking on the road as there is no path, kids shooting out in front of you as they don’t have a clue on the green cross code."
Cllr Woolley confirmed that his team carried out a total of five hour-long sessions during June, all of which were in 20mph zones.
They recorded 152 vehicles doing 26mph or more - with one clocked at 43.
Of the vehicles recorded, three were out of tax but all were current for MOT tests, Cllr Woolley added.
Speaking to the Leader earlier this week regarding driver behaviour, he said: "I do think we have seen a worsening picture.
"There has been a whole range of things we're seeing."
