A spokesperson said: "As part of our detailed planning permission, we are committed to enhancing the local infrastructure adjacent to our development.

"We are paying for all the highway improvements adjacent to our site, which include the construction of new pedestrian crossings, improved road and footpath visibilities and safer bus stop facilities.

"There will be some inconveniences to road traffic users over the summer months, until the works are completed. We will do our upmost to keep delays to a minimum.

"Once this stage of the works are completed, it will form part of a multi-million pound package of improvements we are committed to providing for the local community."
