A Wrexham based digital bank has announced a partnership with Hope House Children's Hospices.

Chetwood Financial Limited confirmed its partnership with the charity, as their annual charity partner.

Operating two facilities in Oswestry and Conwy, the hospice provides specialist nursing care and support to more than 750 children and their families in Shropshire, Cheshire, North, and Mid Wales.

The partnership has already seen success in its initial three months.

Two events, organised by Chetwood, ChetFest and a Hackathon, have raised funds.

ChetFest, an annual employee event, raised £7,000 for Hope House.

The Hackathon took place in May, encouraging teams to generate concepts such as accessible holidays, chat apps, and live counsellors.

These ideas could potentially help Hope House and other charities in the future.

"Hope House provides an incredibly important service for children undergoing hospice care and their families, and being able to contribute meaningfully to their cause is truly rewarding.

"We are excited about the future and look forward to further events we have planned later in the year."

Representatives from Hope House expressed similar excitement about the partnership.

Cat Dowdeswell, fundraising team leader at Hope House, described the importance of local companies like Chetwood supporting their services.

She said: "With over 70 families living in Wrexham who access Hope House Children’s Hospices for support, it’s so important for local companies to work alongside our wonderful hospices to make sure we can be there for all those who need us.

"We were thrilled to hear the total raised so far and to welcome representatives from Chetwood to our recent hospice Open Morning.

"The team left inspired, motivated and educated, and we look forward to working together over the coming months.

“There are so many ways in which local companies can support our hospices, from volunteering to taking part in our events, and we are very excited about this partnership and our future plans."
