AN AWARD-winning dance group from Flintshire is set to represent Wales overseas.

Taking on the Dance World Cup (DWP) in Prague is the Elite School of Dance, based in Mynydd Isa, proudly representing Team Wales.

Competing since 2018, the group has achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze medals over the last six years.

This year, they are taking 20 dancers aged from 7 - 13 years, who will be competing in lyrical, jazz, tap and song and dance group routines. Members of the squad will also be performing solos and duets in various genres.  Senior dancers and teachers at the Wrexham William Aston Hall showSenior dancers and teachers at the Wrexham William Aston Hall show (Image: Elite School of Dance)

Principle Emma Knox Jones said: "We compete regularly in National competitions. Our most recent success was reaching the Grand Final of That's Showbiz at the Blackpool Opera House.
