Final preparations are taking place as a North Wales orchestra gears up for a concert celebrating the music of the British Isles.
Wrexham Symphony Orchestra will be presenting the concert named 'Music From Home' at The William Aston Hall on Saturday, July 20 at 7.30pm.
Acclaimed conductor Katherine Stonham will be taking the orchestra's helm for this musical journey.
The programme features works like Mendelssohn's "Hebrides Overture", inspired by his visit to Fingal's Cave on the Island of Staffa, and Welsh composer Grace Williams' "Penillion".
Other notable pieces include "The Wreckers' Overture" by Dame Ethel Smyth and Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches No 2, and No 4, the latter of which played a significant role at various state occasions, the latest being the coronation of King Charles III.

The audience will also experience "Morfa Rhuddlan" by Morfydd Llwyn Owen, "Irish Tune from County Derry" by Percy Grainger, a variant of "Danny Boy", and "Scottish Dances" by Sir Malcom Arnold.
Guest Conductor Ms Stonham, a Trowbridge native, brings a wealth of experience to the proceedings.
She graduated from the joint course run by the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester, where she studied violin and conducting.
A first-class honours degree holder, Ms Stonham was awarded the GRNCM diploma in July 2021.
Ms Stonham's previous credits include performances at the Buxton International Festival, masterclasses with the Royal Opera House and the BBC Philharmonic.
She recently took over as the principal conductor of the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra in May 2022.
Ms Stonham is also the founder of the Manchester Philharmonic Orchestra, a new amateur orchestra based in south Manchester.
