A TALENTED musician, originally from Wrexham, will be taking to the Glastonbury stage this weekend.

Influenced by female artists such as Lianne La Havas and Lana Del Rey, Cara Hammond's music can be described as an 'eclectic mix of alt pop, indie folk and neo soul'.

The indie singer-songwriter began writing songs when she was just 11 years old, going on to self-release three EP’s independently and a series of singles through the indie label, Oswaldo.

Cara's music has also been featured on 7 Spotify New Music Friday’s across Asia, been A listed on national BBC Radio and featured in the BBC Introducing's Hotlist.

During the pandemic, the 27-year-old learnt how to produce, leading to her first self produced EP ‘twenty four hours’.

The leading track ‘Losing Balance’ has since surpassed one million streams on Spotify, and has been performed live on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Scotland.

Since supporting Charlotte Church at 15, Cara has performed at iconic venues The Roundhouse and Ronnie Scotts in London, as well as festivals SXSW, Boomtown, Love Supreme, Green Man, Rock Oyster, The Great Escape and Focus Wales.

And she is now looking forward to making her debut at the famous Glastonbury festival, this coming weekend.
