WREXHAM Council is warning residents about a potential scam regarding a summer fayre.
The local authority has raised questions over the nature of a Facebook post circulating about a summer fayre in Acton next month.
The post is calling on vendors and stallholders to get involved in the event which is supposedly taking place on July 6 and 7.
It is encouraging those interested to pay £30 to run their stall at the event next month.

However the council has today (June 20) confirmed that they are not aware of any plans for a summer fayre at the Acton Resource Centre on those days.
A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: "A Facebook post has been circulating calling for stallholders to take part in a summer fayre at Acton Resource Centre on July 6 and 7.
"The centre is owned and managed by Wrexham Council and we have no record of a summer fayre booking on that day."
