A speeder who was caught behind the wheel whilst banned and without insurance went on to commit the same offences within a matter of weeks.

Marc Bray, 39, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The defendant, who told the court he is currently of no fixed abode but gave a 'care-of' address in Heol Briniog, Coedpoeth, admitted two offences of driving whilst banned, two of speeding and two of driving without insurance.

Prosecutor Justin Espie told the court the first incident took place on December 12 last year when he was caught speeding in his Vauxhall Corsa on the A483 at Wrexham.

Police enquiries into the speeding offence revealed he was both banned and uninsured.

A very similar series of events then happened when he was caught speeding on the A483 on January 7 this year, giving rise to the second set of charges.
