WREXHAM and Flintshire residents are being encouraged to get their covid booster before the Health Board's spring programme comes to an end.

Walk-in clinics will run for two weeks in locations across North Wales before Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board's COVID-19 spring vaccination programme comes to an end on Friday, June 28.

Betsi are encouraging anyone aged 75 and over who has missed their booster appointment or who has misplaced or did not receive their invitation to come forward before the end of the month.

A spokesperson for BCUHB said: "We are grateful to the thousands of family members and friends of eligible older people who have supported their loved ones to receive their COVID-19 booster vaccine this spring.

"We encourage people who have received an invitation through the post to attend their appointment at the date and time on their letter.

"Please check your letter carefully because the venue for your appointment may be different from previous vaccination programmes. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please reschedule it by calling our contact centre on 03000 840 004.

"Our teams continue to deliver thousands of booster vaccines every week at our network of community vaccination centres, including community halls, sports grounds, leisure centres and other venues.

"We also continue to visit people living in care homes and people who are housebound to offer them the extra protection given by the Spring booster.

"The spring booster helps to protect older people and adults and children with a compromised immune system from serious illness caused by COVID-19.
