Former bodybuilding champion Gaby La Delfa is throwing her weight behind a new venture with the launch of a Chester-based estate agency and property development consultancy.
The mum-of-two from Chester officially launched her latest business enterprise La Delfa Estates, at an invitation-only party in Chester earlier this month.
Gaby is a former UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (UKBFF) Champion, having won the North West Qualifier in 2015.
That led her to the British finals of the UKBFF where she was placed fifth across the whole of the UK in the Physique Class, the heaviest weight class for women.
Now as she turns her attention to building her business instead of her muscles; she will be using the discipline she learnt through her sport to ensure her estate and letting agency and property development consultancy is a success.
“One of the biggest things I’ve taken from my time as a bodybuilder are the principles of dedication, commitment and motivation. I now have these running through my whole life and especially my business,” said Gaby. “I never expected to do as well as I did at bodybuilding but it proved to me that anything is possible with hard work and consistency.”
Gaby originally took up bodybuilding in 2012 after meeting a fellow female competitor at the gym who told her she had the perfect physique for bodybuilding. She competed with the National Physique Association, then joined the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation (BNBF) the following year.
After getting married and having children, Gaby had to stand back from bodybuilding, but she still stays fit through yoga and cycling, and hopes to return to weight-lifting one day when her children are older.
“Bodybuilding takes a lot of time and I just can’t do it with two small children and with running a new business, but I would like to return to weight lifting one day when my children are older and my business is established,” she said.
As well as her background in bodybuilding, Gaby has over 20 years experience in the property industry. She’s been running a property development business in Chester for the past 16 years and is well-known in Chester and the north west for her property development expertise, having built a portfolio of high-end rental properties for both herself and her clients over the past two decades.
Her new business – La Delfa Estates – combines all of that rental knowledge and expertise alongside her experience in buying and selling houses as a traditional estate agent.
But she will be offering a property development consultancy service for investors looking for advice on buying and renovating properties, with a view to either letting them out or selling them on.
Gaby said: “I'm thrilled to have officially launched La Delfa Estates and want to thank everyone who came to the event last night. It was great to receive so much support.
“I love everything about property and helping people to find whatever they are looking for.
"Whether it’s a young couple looking for their first home, a family looking to upscale or an investor looking to get into the property development market, I just love working with clients and helping them to realise their dream.”
Gaby’s offices are based in Garden Lane, Chester. More information about La Delfa Estates can be found at www.ladelfaestates.com
