A WREXHAM community pub has welcomed customers back following an impressive transformation.
On Monday, June 10 The Red Lion in Marford, Wrexham, officially reopened its doors to the public.
The site has been transformed from an Indian restaurant to a traditional community local for residents to love and appreciate once again.
Wigan-based management company OV- Group announced its takeover in May following two food hygiene scores of zero within a five-month period earlier this year.
New features include a log burner, new carpets, dedicated games area, traditional soft furnishings, new bar, newly landscaped garden, new colour scheme and more appropriate light fittings.

New management team Nancy Jones and Gemma Smith are thrilled to welcome customers.
Operations Director Jordan Dempsey for OV- Group said: "The opening was fantastic, it was refreshing to welcome back the community after what has been a much needed rebirth of this fabulous site.
"We had lots of positive reviews from our patrons yesterday on how welcoming our manager Nancy and the team was. It was really joyful to see and to get all of the wonderful feedback from. We will always be led by our customers on what they want to see at their Red Lion.
"The site has undergone a major investment by the company to transform it from an Indian restaurant back into the community local that this community has missed dearly!

The grand opening saw the place bustling. One customer said: "It was like walking in four years ago. The right atmosphere, great people and fantastic staff. The Red is 100% back on the map."
The Red Lion will be open seven-days a week with a very warm welcome for all.
