A NUMBER of illegal tobacco and vape products were seized during a joint police and trading standards operation.
The initiative took place on Wednesday at premises in Flintshire.
A North Flintshire police team spokesman explained: "Officers assisted Flintshire Trading Standards in the operation, that was also supported by tobacco detection dogs from WagtailUK.
"Stores in areas of Queensferry and Mold were targeted and searched, which resulted in a number of products being seized.
"The operation aimed to disrupt against illegal tobacco, which is distributed and supplied through organised criminal networks.
"If you’re aware of illegal tobacco being sold in your area, please report it in confidence at 'NO IFS. NO BUTTS' here - https://orlo.uk/K4T9u
"You can also report it anonymously via the independent charity, CrimeStoppers."
Illegal tobacco distribution is often linked to other criminal activity, and bringing crime into local communities.
