DESIGNATED new 'no stopping' zones have been implemented outside schools in Wrexham in a bid to deal with problem parking.
Wrexham Council has published a series of notices of new zones, as well existing no stopping areas which have been renewed.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: "This exercise is a mixture of introducing new ‘no stopping’ and renewing existing arrangements.
"We currently have a mixture of restrictions in place outside schools and have taken the opportunity to refresh and renew all arrangements to ensure a level of consistency."
Wrexham Council is currently in the process of erecting no stopping signage at the locations to warn motorists that it is enforceable by traffic wardens who will issue tickets to cars parked there.
The spokesperson said: "We are currently placing signage outside every school to reinforce to make it clear that there is no parking on zig zags markings.
"We will enforce on the zig-zag markings once the accompanying signage is in place. The signage will be erected over the next few months and our enforcement officers will be notified as each school becomes enforceable."
The no stopping zones are in effect from Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm, and are as follows:
Box Lane, Acton
