A MAN had "little recollection" of his violent behaviour in the street after drinking "to excess," a court heard.
John Delaney, of Ruthin Road in Coedpoeth, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 23-year-old admitted that on May 14, he used threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards another person at Abbot Street in Wrexham.
Prosecutor Justin Espie told the court that on the day in question, CCTV operators spotted the defendant "throwing punches at another male" in the street.
He then ran from the scene, but was detained by police a short distance away.
Andrew Holliday, defending, told the court: "Mr Delaney pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity and made full admissions in interview.

"The incident was caught entirely on CCTV and he has little recollection of it."
Mr Holliday told the court his client "drank to excess" following the death of his father.
He said the defendant has a carer following a "significant motorbike accident" and that his family "never let him out of their sight."
But on the day of the offence, he'd "slipped out" and gotten involved in the disturbance on Abbott Street.
The court handed down a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered Delaney to pay £85 costs, as well as a £26 victim surcharge.
