POLICE have issued an update in relation to the search for a missing man at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
The emergency services were called to a concern for a man's safety in the area of the aqueduct on Thursday.
The following day, police said they were continuing to search for a missing man in the area.
Today (Monday, June 3), North Wales Police said there continues to be a police presence in the area of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct as searches are ongoing to locate the missing man.
A spokesperson said: "As there had been police contact prior to the man going missing, as required in these circumstances, we have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC).
"Thank you to community for their continued assistance and support as searches continue."
