MANY people were dealt with by Wrexham and Mold Magistrates Court on Wednesday (May 29).

Johnathan Lees, aged 45 and of no fixed abode. He was sentenced for stalking involving serious alarm/distress, committed against Lisa Jones between September and October last year. He received a 12 week term of custody - but it was suspended for one year, with 150 hours of unpaid work and a two year restraining order to protect the victim. He must also pay £620 costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

Damian Klosinski, aged 27 and of no fixed abode was sentenced for possession of amphetamine and cannabis, which happened on May 16 this year at Connah's Quay. The court handed down a six month conditional discharge. He must pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge.

David Davenport, aged 41 and of Bron Y Waun, in Chirk, was sentenced for numerous offences including; driving whilst banned, possession of cannabis, driving without due care and attention, possession of amphetamine, failing to stop when required and driving without insurance. He received a 26 week custodial sentence, suspended for 18 months and must pay £85 costs.

Daniel Skimmings aged 35 and of Herbert Jennings Avenue in Wrexham, was sentenced for two counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour. He received a two-year community order to include an alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement of 120 days, 19 sessions on a thinking skills programme, 25 days of rehabilitation activity and 80 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay £85 costs and a £114 victim surcharge.

Ian Jones, aged 40 and of 64 Nant Road in Coedpoeth, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on February 22 at Wrexham. He received a 12 month community order with 150 hours of unpaid work, and must pay £85 costs.

Darren Roberts, aged 49 and of Heol Y Wal in Bradley, Wrexham, was sentenced for criminal damage, which involved him damaging the front window of a Co-op store in Wrexham in April. He must pay £100 in compensation. No order for costs was made.

Bharat Singh, aged 22 and of Sherwell Avenue in Wrexham, was sentenced for drink-driving, which happened on Wrexham High Street on May 8. The court banned Singh from driving for 18 months and handed down a £120 fine, as well as ordering £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.

Aaron Williams-Barnes, aged 33 and of Holt Road in Wrexham, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at Fairfield Tavern in Wrexham on May 10. He received a fine of £460 and must pay £85 costs, as well as a £184 victim surcharge.
