A classic and vintage car show was a "remarkable success," organisers have said.

The free event was organised by Deeside Round Table and took place at the Hawarden playing fields on Saturday, May 25.

Steve Wood, chairman of Deeside Round Table, said afterwards: "On behalf of Deeside Round Table, I am delighted to share the success of our 2024 Car Show.

"This year's event saw an incredible turnout with over 200 vehicles on display, showcasing a stunning array of classic, vintage, and modern cars, all meticulously gathered by our ex-member group, XRT.

"Our partners, Ladies Circle, provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere with their teas and coffees, while the Deeside Round Table members took charge of the bars and barbecue, ensuring everyone was well-fed and refreshed throughout the day.

"I am particularly proud to announce that the event raised over £2,800.

"These funds will be directed back into our local community, supporting various initiatives and projects that make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
