An empty property has been targeted along Strand Walk in Holywell.
During the incident which took place on June 2, the rear door handle had been snapped off in an attempt to gain access to the property, police confirm.
They are now recommending that local residents consider the following crime prevention advice to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of a similar crime.
-
Physically check that all doors and windows are locked when leaving the house unoccupied.
-
Consider installing CCTV at the property to cover all entry and exit points.
-
Consider purchasing security lighting, again to cover all entry and exit points.
-
Ensure that no valuables are left near windows or in easy view of windows/doors.
