THE passenger of the tragic collision in Staffordshire where three teenagers died has paid tribute to those who sadly lost their lives.

Brooke Varley, 17, from Newport, Shropshire, was a rear seat passenger of the Ford Ka when the collision happened on Cannock Road on Saturday, May 25.

Dafydd Hûw Craven-Jones, 18, of Tanyfron, Wrexham, and Morgan Jones, 17, of Coedpoeth, Wrexham, sadly died. Their families have issued tributes to their loves ones.

Sophie Bates, 17, from Stafford, who was also a rear seat passenger, was taken to hospital.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Sophie died in hospital on Tuesday (May 28).

Her family issued a moving tribute to her yesterday.

The families are being supported by specially-trained officers at this tragic time and ask that their privacy is respected.

Brooke, who was taken to hospital by paramedics after the collision, has since been discharged and is recovering at home. She has bravely paid tribute to Dafydd, Morgan and Sophie:

“I wanted to write a tribute for my three friends Sophie, Morgan and Daf. I am so upset to have lost such amazing people from my life.

“Sophie was the kindest person who lived her life to the fullest. She is my inspiration to get better and do everything she didn’t get a chance to do. She will forever be in my heart.

“Morgan was one of the funniest people I know. He was always respectful, kind and sweet. He always looked out for me. Daf had a kind soul and loved his friends.

“I’m thinking of their families at this sad time and everyone who is affected by this tragic incident.”

Police have thanked everyone who has left messages of support for the families involved and to those who are continuing to support with the collision investigation.
