THE story of Wrexham fans travelling from Patagonia to watch the Reds has been captured in a documentary. 

'ReUnited' is United Airlines’ original documentary, which tells the story of a journey of a lifetime from Welsh Patagonia to Wrexham.

Released today (May 31), from the producers of “FX’s Welcome to Wrexham”, ReUnited, is an original documentary presented by United Airlines, telling the heartwarming story of five Wrexham fans from Patagonia, southern Argentina, home to the largest population of Welsh people living outside of Wales, as they make the journey of a lifetime to Wrexham and the home of Wrexham AFC, The Racecourse Ground.  

Underscoring the airline’s mission to connect people and unite the world, ReUnited follows Matias, Rocio, David, and father and son Ricardo and Felipe, as they travel 7,604 miles with United to Wales and the Racecourse.

The five Wrexham fans reconnect with their Welsh roots and heritage and visit the very same shores their ancestors set sail from 160 years ago, bound for distant Patagonia in a quest to preserve their way of life, culture and language.

On arrival in Wrexham, just in time for St David’s Day, they are welcomed as family into the heart of the community and their emotional journey reaches its climax as they attend their first ever Wrexham AFC match and meet club co-chairman, Rob McElhenney.

ReUnited is the latest chapter in United’s official front-of-shirt sponsorship of Wrexham AFC for both the men’s and women’s teams, originally announced in June 2023.

The documentary follows hot on the heels of the new, limited-edition Wrexham AFC inflight amenity kits and pyjamas, available for travellers flying in United’s premium cabins on long-haul international routes from June 1, 2024. 

For the 2024-2025 season, United will continue its partnership with the Wrexham team and fans that represent the best of what professional sports has to offer.
