They also played for Brymbo Cricket Club, which has also paid tribute.

A spokesperson said: "Brymbo Cricket Club are devastated to hear the news of the passing of two of our former players and scorers, Dafydd Craven-Jones and Morgan Jones.

"Both boys were outstanding characters. They played junior cricket together here at Brymbo and went on to feature in our senior sides. Neither of them would let the club down and would go above and beyond. Both were keen rugby players and played for Wrexham Rugby Club.

"Our thoughts are with the families and friends of both. We will support them in anyway we can. At this time we ask that everyone respects the families privacy.

"Rest in peace boys you will be missed but NEVER forgotten."
