A WREXHAM cafe has lost trade after an unexpected incident forced the business to close early.
Award-winning eatery based on Charles Street in Wrexham, Toast Cafe and Deli has reported a frightening incident on the premises.
During their peak lunchtime hours on Wednesday, May 29 two men entered the cafe, had a fight and smashed several objects taking customers and staff by surprise.
Owner Claire Wright said: "It came right out of the blue. It was at 1pm, the height of lunchtime when we were pretty much full. We hope all those affected are okay.
"We’re not going to be put off by what happened by what is a minority in our city as we all need to work together to make Wrexham a better place to live, work and visit.
"Thank you for all the messages of support."
The incident has been reported to North Wales Police who are currently investigating.

The two individuals smashed water coolers and the tips jar, leading to the cafe to lose trade after closing early.
"It's just such a shame," Claire adds.
After receiving an abundance of messages of love and support, the cafe has reopened today (Thursday) and business will continue as normal.
