A WREXHAM care home has transformed its outdoor space for residents to enjoy.
The modern and purpose built facility Ashleigh Court Care Home based in Gresford, Wrexham is set in a beautiful rural location.
In February this year, activity co-ordinators Dawn Humphrey and Cindy Jones decided to do something positive with the sadly neglected garden area.
After creating a vision, Dawn said: "We have worked for months painting and landscaping with all free time going towards the project.
"Through all weathers we tackled the space with the help of our wonderful maintenance man Terry Howard.
"We decided to call it the secret garden - a space where residents can sit with their families and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
"It's gone from nothing to something quite special."

On Thursday, May 23 Wrexham Mayor Beryl Blackmore, Cllr Janet Holmes and Cllr Jan Jones attended the care home to open the garden. The event featured live music and a barbecue.
"We'd now love to do the same thing for our Dementia Unit Ty Heulwen", added Dawn.
The now colourful space is bringing plenty of joy and happiness to Ashleigh Court's residents and their families who can't wait to make use of the garden this summer.
