WREXHAM Council organisation 'Active Wrexham' is hosting an array of fun activities for young people.

This May half term (May 25-June 3) Active Wrexham has put on a range of free activities. See the schedule below.

Beginners Tennis (5-11)

  • Tuesday, May 28 to Thursday, May 30
  • Three-day course between 4pm and 5pm
  • Acton Tennis Courts

Girls Football (5-11)

  • Suitable for children and young people with all disabilities, impairments and additional needs
  • Thursday 30 May 10am – 12pm
  • St Christopher’s School

Tennis (5-11)

  • Friday 31 May 10 am – 11.30am
  • Bellevue Park

Wrexham Council has also confirmed there is also free swimming on offer at the following Freedom Leisure Centres:

  • Waterworld - Thursday 1pm until 2pm and Saturday 3pm until 4pm.
  • Gwyn Evans Leisure and Activity Centre - Tuesday 2pm until 3pm and Sunday 1pm until 2pm.
  • Chirk Leisure and Activity Centre - Sunday 1pm until 2pm.

Other activities this May half term in Wrexham include Chirk Carnival on Saturday (June 1) at Chirk Recreational Ground - starting at 10am. 

There will be live music and stunt shows, as well as an Artisan Market, street food, an onsite bar, a fairground, and more. Tickets can be bought via https://bit.ly/452d6TK - with advanced ticket offers until Thursday (May 30). 

Kingdom of the Jungle will be at Eagles Meadow on Saturday, while on Sunday, the Great Mammal Mystery in Acton Park from 1-3pm is completely free for families.
