A NEW dog enclosure is coming to Flintshire this summer providing a safe and fun space for all fury friends to play.

Carl and Jane Butcher are thrilled to announce their new business venture after two-years of planning.

Cei Meadows Dog Park is coming to Connah's Quay, Flintshire, opening at the end of July this summer - a safe and fun enclosure to train and exercise dogs. It will be based along Mold Road, just opposite the entrance to Bryn Gwyn Lane.

After finally receiving permission to get the ball rolling, Jane said: "This is something we've wanted to do for years! We spent at least two years trying to locate and buy suitable land and we secured this land at auction in 2021.

"We have spent a significant amount of time putting together our plans and in the planning application process.

"We are dog owners ourselves and have used a lot of dog parks throughout the Wirral and Wrexham, we realised there isn't anything of this size in the vicinity of Connah's Quay."

The site will feature three paddocks with one specifically for reactive dogs who need a quiet and calming environment.

She added: "Although we have good open spaces nearby, not all dogs can enjoy them as they can't be off lead so we are creating safe spaces on our six acre site.

"We aim to offer a service that enriches the lives of dogs and their owners."

Further updates will be shared on the Cei Meadows Dog Park Facebook page over the upcoming weeks and an exact opening date will be confirmed soon.
