THE A494 River Dee crossing is set for a month of disruption as roadworks take place.
Traffic Wales is to carry out work on installing two crossover points in the central reserve and small improvements to the Riverside junction on the westbound carriageway, between Drome Corner and Queensferry Interchange. Work will commence on the June 3.
The work will be carried out overnight from 8pm until 6am under two lane closures both westbound and eastbound. A lane 1 closure will be in place on the westbound carriageway to accommodate for junction improvement works.
There will be a 30mph speed restriction throughout the site 24/7 as mitigation for the barrier works taking place.
The works are being carried out overnight when traffic flows are lower to minimise disruption.
4 June – 2 July
• Lane 2 closures A494 Drome Corner to Queensferry Interchange both directions from 8pm-6am.
2 – 10 July
• Lane 1 closure westbound Drome Corner to Queensferry Interchange from 8pm-6am.
11 – 13 July
• Lane 2 closures A494 Drome Corner to Queensferry Interchange both directions from 8pm-6am.
