A MOTHER and son-in-law duo are embarking on an exciting new business venture in a Wrexham village.
Located on Park Road in Cefn Mawr, 'Cherie's Kitchen' is having its grand opening on Saturday, June 29.
The joint venture is between Adam Roberts and Cherie Foulkes, both from the Wrexham area.
The business is set to occupy the former 'Big Guys Kitchen' protein-based takeaway which relocated to Wrexham's Industrial Estate after six-years in Cefn.
Cherie's experience and expertise in the food industry has fueled her passion and desire to own her own business, having worked in the Plas Madoc chippy for over a decade.
Adam said: "We really believe this business will be a success as we are very well known in the area, Cherie especially.
"Everyone locally knows that her food is of very high quality, and we believe unlike other businesses we are not just offering quality food at reasonable affordable prices, we are creating a space for people to interact in a community environment.
"We are offering a range of meals from traditional breakfasts and breakfast baps to jacket potatoes and light bites, which we think will be brilliant for the elderly.
"Inside there will be plenty of seating area with 9 tables, 27 chairs and 10 stools on a breakfast bar, we even have a lower breakfast bar with children sized stools and plan on putting a TV in our kids corner."
The pair admit they are determined to create a community space that is family run and an all-round great atmosphere for people to meet and socialise.

A free sandwich for the first five customers is also up for grabs! Be there at 8am on June 29.
