A POPULAR Flintshire pub has undergone a major refurb.
The White Bear, in Mancot, has had a makeover in recent weeks - which has seen the restaurant and toilet area getting a facelift.
Work is now underway on the outside area of the pub - which won a Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice award last year.
Hayley Selvester, landlady of the White Bear, said: "It's a lovely pub with great locals and a great atmosphere but the decor was looking old and tired.
"So myself, Dale (co-landlord) and our fantastic member of staff Sam, have worked hard these last few weeks to make small, but very impressive improvements.
"The men's toilets have had a makeover with new tiles and urinals - but the best part is the restaurant with new curtains, furniture, artwork, lights, reupholstered chairs, lick of paint and new carpet."
She continued: "It's great to hear on Facebook and in person our customers' positive feedback, it has certainly made all the hard work worthwhile.
"We are now slowly starting on the outside area. Freshening up the planters with lots of colourful flowers and with two new TVs outside too we are ready for the Euros football in June."
Hayley added: "So please pop along for a bite to eat with friends and family, and don't forget your slippers for the super soft carpet."
"Thanks to A J Hibbert Ltd for the work on the toilets, PB Fire and Security Ltd for all electrical work, Quay Carpets and Wallis Landscapes Ltd."
After the pub shared photos of the revamp on its Facebook page, dozens of people commented praising it.
One person said: "It looks absolutely amazing, well done to you both."
Another added: "Looks really welcoming, decor is lovely."
