A TRIAL date has been set for a couple accused of murdering two-year-old Ethan Ives Griffiths.
Kerry Ives, aged 45, and Michael Ives, aged 46, and of Kingsley Road, Garden City, both appeared before Mold Crown Court today (Friday, May 17).
Both pleaded not guilty to murder, causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm, and causing the assault and ill treatment, neglect or abandonment of a child to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.
Shannon Kayleigh Ives (27), of Nant Garmon, Mold, also appeared in court today. She denies causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm, and causing the assault, ill treatment, neglect or abandonment of a child to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.
A trial involving all three defendants will begin at Mold Crown Court on November 11, 2024 and is anticipated to last between four and five weeks.
Kerry and Michael Ives will remain remanded in custody pending the trial, and Shannon Ives has been bailed.
