A THAI takeaway in Flintshire has opened a desserts bar where its dine in area used to be.
The Thaidee, in Flint, this week opened 'Kanum' - offering a range of tasty treats. It's situated where the restaurant's dine-in area was before it recently closed.
Martin Lovell, co-owner of the business, said: "People can download the app from Kanum.co.uk and can also order through our existing Thaidee app.
"The Thaidee takeaway is still very much available, we are simply making use of the restaurant space. In turn giving people a wider choice.
"We have to change with the times are excited to see how people embrace our ideas."
There are plans progressing to open a Thai-style shop there.
"The shop will have all the must have Thai ingredients as well as a selection of Thai snacks," Martin said.
"We are possibly going to introduce our own sauces with QR codes on the back connecting to a video on how to make the meal. We have many ideas to keep us busy for the rest of the year."
He added: "Everything will be at Flint - where Da (Martin's wife and co-business owner) and I started. We have found through many challenges that for our own sanity to keep what we have run just in place. There’s only one of Da. She is undoubtedly what keeps Thaidee being what it is."
"Da and I are very much concentrating on our one and only Flint store. Our aspirations of having many have proved too difficult under the current climate. We have many ideas for Flint to keep us busy for a fair while."
